Neo4j is a sophisticated and revolutionary type of database that allows fast searches of very large networks stored in the database. It is designed to deal with networks of nodes and connections, both of which can be further defined through assigned properties (categories).
Much of the social and physical world can be modeled and visualized as network graphs. This tool is very helpful.
Normal people can draw models on a whiteboard that are easily incorporated into the database and easily connected, recalled, and displayed for analysis and decision making.
Neo4j has added useful tools for normal language querying (Bloom) and other tools for visual analysis of Neo4j databases (Data Science).

I need to look into GraphAware's Hume integration platform on top of Neo4j. It looks a lot like Linkurious 
tools I used six years ago to prototype Whatcom County's network of foundations, public health and schools.
