Conversation Taxonomy

People use very different styles of conversation for different situations. We may need a table with situation types and conversation styles.

Number of conversants: 2, 5, 8, 12, 25, 125, more than 200

Structure of Conversations are conversation patterns. Sets of interrelated conversations have the potential for pattern languages.

Sofi and VSM are pattern language graphs. The nodes and links are each a particular form of conversation with a particular set of participants (roles), rhythms, agendas, and time span of discretion. Each node (function or sphere of influence) and each pair of links (homeostasis) can be described as patterns and the relations among the patterns is a pattern language: the VSM PL and the Sofi PL. Quite possibly each conversation could branch into either Conversation for Possibilities or Conversation for Action.
