**Introduction:**
I imagine a elder pointing to a cave drawing and explaining or describing the scenerio and its meaning to a younger member of the clan.

**CONTEXT:**
We live in narratives, stories. If we are to live in the same world we need to live in shared stories. That means we need to have conversations about the same experiences. Pointing at a relevant painting or diagram is a way of converging on the same story.
**PROBLEM:**
Common understanding is the basis for conflict resolution and collective action. Such understanding must keep up with changes in the shared situations and changes in membership of the group.

**THEREFORE (SOLUTION):**
Co-create pictures of the salient features of the shared situation. Keep the pictures up-to-date and refer to them often. The increasing complexity of our systems require drawing methods fit for shared understanding of that complexity. Causal loop models are a minimum.
Not everyone need be an expert modeler, but each group needs at least one.
